Thursday’s agility circuit was a light change of pace  .. we come back hard to close out the week, returning to one of our benchmark workouts.  We last did this one on July 10th … I’ll just reuse my writeup from a month ago!

We’ve got just three weeks to go before we break for a week, then head indoors!  There is still time to join us.  We’ve dropped the fee to something trivial but it still gets you all the perks, including a discount on the fall program (which will come out over the weekend…).  Go HERE to sign up … but feel free to come and preview a session first!

Friday, August 8th — The T-Bone

I have no idea why this workout is called what it is called … perhaps to work off the t-bone steak you eat the night before?   Thursday’s session is drop dead simple and is borrowed (lifted?  stolen? …) from a couple of my favorite trainers.  I follow about a half dozen pretty well known folks via the web and sometimes I like their stuff so much that I can’t help but share it my group…  The T-Bone (see video below!) is from Christine Mooney (beautiful-strength.com) and Pat Flynn (chroniclesofstrength.com).  They are mostly kettlebell gurus, but this one is nuthin’ but bodyweight.   In perfect keeping with Pat’s minimalist approach.  I encourage everyone to check out their sites!  It is probably worth mentioning that most coaches have coaches … Pat Flynn is my coach by way of his “inner circle” program.

It goes like this …

10 pushups –> 75 yard sprint –> 10 pushups –> return to start with walking lunge. That’s one round.   We’ll shoot for three  but go four if you’ve got it in ya! Take up to 2 minutes rest between rounds.  OR…. since this is a very repeatable workout, perhaps do it for three rounds on the timer as a benchmark … we can come back and do it again the final week of the summer.
