Unplug 2 Reconnect – Week in Review – 3/26/17

We’ve spent the past week pondering the words of some great thinkers on the topic of patience for our post -meditation reflections …. you’ll find the whole week below … on Sundays, we take a brief look back at all of them … next week, our topic will be “unity”.

Monday – Rumi

“If you are irritated by every rub, how can you be polished?”
Tuesday – Fulton Sheen
“Patience is power.
Patience is not an absence of action;
rather it is “timing”
it waits on the right time to act,
for the right principles
and in the right way.”
Wednesday – Rainer Maria Rilke
“Make your ego porous. Will is of little importance, complaining is nothing, fame is nothing. Openness, patience, receptivity, solitude is everything.”
Thursday – Henri Nouwen
“A waiting person is a patient person. The word patience means the willingness to stay where we are and live the situation out to the full in the belief that something hidden there will manifest itself to us.”
Friday – Paulo Coelho
“The two hardest tests on the spiritual road are the patience to wait for the right moment and the courage not to be disappointed with what we encounter.”
Saturday – Hal Borland
“Knowing trees, I understand the meaning of patience. Knowing grass, I can appreciate persistence.”
